gaffhunt is a shortlist tool for couples renting in London. This page covers the gaffhunt website and its waitlist. It's written to be read, not skimmed past — if anything is unclear, email us.

The short version

  • We collect only what you type into the waitlist form.
  • We use it for one thing: emailing you about gaffhunt early access.
  • No cookies, no trackers, no analytics scripts.
  • We never sell or share your details for marketing.
  • Unsubscribe or ask us to delete you any time.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we store:

That's the lot. No name, no phone number, nothing pulled from anywhere else.

What we use it for

One purpose: emailing you about gaffhunt early access and launch — timed to your moving window if you gave one. We won't email you about anything else, and we never sell or share your details for marketing.

Our legal basis is your consent: the form said what you were signing up for, and submitting it is how you agreed. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see "Your choices").

Where your details live

Your details go into gaffhunt's own database, hosted with Amazon Web Services in London (eu-west-2). We don't use a third-party mailing-list service — no one else holds the list. When we send you email, it's delivered through Resend, our email delivery provider, which processes your email address for that purpose.

Cookies and tracking

The website sets no cookies and runs no trackers or analytics scripts — which is why there's no cookie banner.

Like almost every website, our hosting provider (Amazon CloudFront) keeps standard server logs — IP address, page requested, time — which we use only to keep the site running and secure. They're deleted after 30 days and are never joined up with the waitlist.

How long we keep your details

Until we've launched and the early-access list has done its job, or until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed — whichever comes first. If gaffhunt winds down before launch, we delete the list rather than keep it.

Your choices and rights

What about the gaffhunt app?

The app isn't out yet; when it launches it will have its own privacy policy covering how hunts work. Two commitments worth stating now: gaffhunt only reads listings — it never contacts agents or acts from your account — and listing photos are judged, then deleted: analysed to answer your criteria and removed straight after, keeping the judgement, not the imagery.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll change the date at the top. If we ever wanted to use your details for something beyond what you signed up for, we'd ask you first — we wouldn't just edit this page.

Who we are

gaffhunt is an independent product. For anything in this policy — or anything it doesn't cover — contact hello@gaffhunt.com.
